lumious dreams was commissioned by an multidisciplinary design studio Stones and Walls in cooperation with lighting design office CK lighting to construct an outdoor lighting system for Beefbar Athens in the Athens Riviera.
The idea was to create a structure that would carry 5 outdoor cage lights with 3 at the height of 4.1 m and 2 at the height of 3.7 m with their brackets reaching 1.5m and 0.75m accordingly. The structure should be able to withstand outdoor conditions with an emphasis on harsh winds that are present at the area as well as oxidation due to salt air.
luminous dreams experimented with different alloys in order to create the correct combination of strength, weight and balance for the structure and together with the lighting design team decided on the appropriate light source.
